Many brands within the health and fitness space choose to utilise celebrity ambassadors to help build the profile of their brand and promote their products or services. When it comes to brands identifying suitable celebrity ambassadors, it is imperative to choose people who their target market can relate to, and will respond to.
For the launch of Blaze in David Lloyd Cardiff, we chose a handful of current and former Welsh Rugby Team players along with a couple of Olympic medallists, a footballer, two sports presenters and a GBBO finalist. Set in its own purpose-built studio, Blaze combines cardiovascular training with strength, boxing and martial arts skills to give an intense workout. It’s new, unique, like nothing you’ve experienced before and it’s exclusive to David Lloyd clubs. Blaze is a HIIT class that will test your strength, stamina, and willpower as you run, lift and fight. It will push you to your limit.
Members worked out with the people they see on telly, the influencers they follow on social media and the athletes they’ve read about. This is a brand ambassador relationship which is real, and which effectively targeted the David Lloyd member base.
